My name is Emma Heeley, I am the owner of Domestic Goddesses Cleaning Services which is based in Hemingfield, Barnsley. Domestic Goddesses Cleaning services was started in April 2008. After the break down of my marriage I found myself as a single mum, my job as a kitchen assistant/cleaner in a local restaurant wasn’t fitting around my 2 beautiful yet demanding children, rather than claim benefits or let my children suffer I decided to quit and start cleaning for myself as a self-employed cleaner.

I gained customers through word of mouth and advertising in local shop windows. The work very quickly came in and before too long I found I had too many customers to manage alone, I asked my friend to join me and Domestic Goddesses Cleaning Services was established. Before long our customers had swelled in numbers again to a point where we needed even more cleaners. The business has expanded so much over the years that we now have 30 team members. What started as a means to support my children has turned into a business I am very proud of, a business that provides flexible jobs and affordable cleaning. All our team members are family orientated. It is important to me that all team members are honest and trustworthy, friendly and reliable, sensitive and practice confidentiality and most importantly are willing to go that extra mile and add a personal touch, for all our customers.
